Dr. Jason Barnes has been improving people’s lives through chiropractic care for over 17 years. His passion is to give his patients the best way to improve their health without prescription medications or surgery. He treats practice members of all ages, from newborn’s to grandparents. “Here at Barnes Family Chiropractic we truly enjoy the diversity of the patients and conditions we have the opportunity to treat.”
Dr. Barnes received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN (now Northwestern Health Sciences University). Prior to chiropractic school he studied at Western Wyoming Community College and received an Associates of Applied Science degree and a Radiologic Technology degree. He then continued his education at the University of Wyoming in order to receive his bachelor’s degree in Zoology prior to moving on to chiropractic school. Doctor Barnes has post graduate work including being a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, certified in Advanced Muscle Integration Technique, Rock Tape application and functional assessments certified, certified for pre-participation sports examinations, Work Comp Level 1 Accredited. Dr Barnes joined the Colorado Chiropractic Association when they moved back to Colorado in 2002 to be involved with the state association of keeping chiropractic in Colorado in the best interests of the patient. The last 4 years he has been elected by his chiropractic peers to be the district director of Districts 5 and 6 (pretty much the entire eastern portion of Colorado south of I70 and east of HW 285).
“As a chiropractor it is my job to not only provide you with the best possible options to achieve optimal health but also to attempt to educate you in ways to maintain this health. Following a detailed examination and discussion with you, it is my goal that you leave my office with a complete understanding of your diagnosis and the different treatment options that may be best for you. We here at Barnes Family Chiropractic believe that only the body can heal itself and that with you making the best decisions for your health is the only way to make that happen.” Doctor Barnes and his family try to follow this philosophy themselves as seen in their involvement with proper physical fitness, nutrition and regular chiropractic care, and are committed to providing the same opportunity for the community.
Dr. Barnes moved back to Burlington with his wife Amy in 2002 and they have practiced here, in her hometown, ever since. Besides his practice in Burlington, CO he also has a satellite clinic in Cheyenne Wells where he treats many patients from the southern communities as well. Dr. Barnes and Amy have enjoyed the small town living and have found it to be a great place to raise their 3 boys, Wyatt, Dillon and Riley. “It is a joy to have a successful practice in such a great area where we are able to participate in many of the community events as well as attend the events that our children are involved with.” When not providing optimal care for his patients or attending his children's events Dr. Barnes enjoys golf, camping, physical fitness, traveling, Nerf gun wars with his children, reading and expanding his knowledge, archery and being in the company of his dogs.
