Dr. Jason Barnes has been improving people’s lives through chiropractic care for over 23 years. His passion is to give his patients the best way to improve their health without medications or surgery. He treats practice members of all ages, from newborns to grandparents. “Here at Barnes Family Chiropractic, we truly enjoy the diversity of the patients and conditions we have the opportunity to treat.”
Doctor Barnes started his secondary education at Western Wyoming Community College, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree and his Radiology Technologist degree. Following this, he attended the University of Wyoming to get his bachelor’s in Zoology. Doctor Barnes then moved on to Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, where he achieved the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic. Doctor Barnes has post-graduate work, including being a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, certified in Advanced Muscle Integration Technique, Rock Tape application, and functional assessments, certified for pre-participation sports examinations, and is Work Comp Level 1 Accredited. Dr Barnes joined the Colorado Chiropractic Association when they moved back to Colorado in 2002 to be involved with the state association of keeping chiropractic in Colorado in the best interests of the patient. He joined the board 10 years ago and has been a district director, vice president, president-elect, and the president of the CCA.

“As a chiropractor, it is my job to not only provide you with the best possible options to achieve optimal health but also to attempt to educate you in ways to maintain this health on your own. Following a detailed examination with you, it is my goal that you leave my office with a complete understanding of your diagnosis and the different treatment options that may be best, and help you to achieve the best health for you. We here at Barnes Family Chiropractic believe that only the body can heal itself and that with you making the best decisions for your health is the only way to make that happen. We can only assist or hinder the innate healing of the body.” Doctor Barnes and his family try to follow this philosophy themselves as seen in their involvement with proper physical fitness, nutrition, and regular chiropractic care, and are committed to providing the same opportunity for the community.
Dr. Barnes moved back to Burlington with his wife, Amy, in 2002, and they have practiced here, in her hometown, ever since. Besides his practice in Burlington, CO, he also has satellite clinics in Cheyenne Wells, CO, and Goodland, KS, where he treats many patients from the surrounding communities as well. Dr. Barnes and Amy have enjoyed the small town living and found it to be a great place to raise their 3 boys, Wyatt, Dillon, and Riley. “It is a joy to have a successful practice in such a great area where we are able to participate in many of the community events as well as attend the events that our children have been involved with.” When not providing optimal care for his patients or attending his children’s events, Dr. Barnes enjoys being in the company of his wife, children, and his dogs, as well as playing golf, camping, physical fitness, traveling, reading, archery, and expanding his knowledge.
